It's probably your internet provider binds to the old Router, follow the steps below to connect our new Router:
1. Make sure the new Router works.
Connect our Router WAN port to the old router LAN port and see if our Router light shows Green.
If it is , then our router is Not Faulty. So we can connect our Router to the Internet with just a few steps resetting it .
2. In need of your old Router's MAC Address(On the Back of the Router)
We need your old Router‘s MAC Address Clone
(As for customer feedback , Spectrum Internet Provider bound modem MAC to Old router ,The old router mac address is on the back of the old router.)
3.Go to your browser and enter 192.168.2.1 into the search bar.
Default Account: admin
Password: 12345678
Click [Next], the Router will detect the internet type mode automatically.
Mac Address Clone
Click [Network], then [Mac Clone], find the Mac Address Clone and select [Enter manually], then Enter Old Router's Mac Address. Note that a colon should be inserted every 2 characters, as shown below. Finally click on [Save/Apply]
Then wait for 2mins and check the [management]. If the router gets an IP address as shown below, your Wifi is connected!
